Service Above Self

Community Service / Grants

The goal of community services is to further the ideals of Rotary fellowship and goodwill championed by our commitment to the Four Way Test throughout our local community.  Leadership by example gives us an opportunity to touch the lives and make a positive impact on anyone we meet and with whom we conduct business, communicate, or especially those who are directly impacted by our charitable acts.  As Rotarians we are keenly aware of the impact we can have daily in the lives of others in making our own local community a better place to live.  Goodwill starts at home. This year, we responded to emergent Covid-19 needs. Rotary gave Grants totaling $30,000 in support of online music education, cancer support in the Latino community, special needs for students in the Ojai Unified School District, laundry services for the Family Shelter, a new STEM program at Boys & Girls Club, and diapers for low-income families, to name a few.

Support of Education

The Rotary Club of Ojai Educational Foundation was established in 1991 as a non-profit corporation complying with Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS. The Foundation's primary purpose is to encourage and assist students in the Ojai Valley with scholarships. We also support the charitable work of the Rotary Club of Ojai through our Community Grants Program. The Scholarship Program is committed to supporting students with drive and ambition to further their education.

In the last ten years, the Rotary Club of Ojai Educational Foundation has awarded over 240 Scholarships and awarded Scholarships totaling over $750,000.
